This S'mores Stout is true to namesake, because two years ago the head brewer from Double Barley, Mark Kirby, and the head brewer and owner now of Brice's Brewing, Kris Bengtson, made a Pro-Am batch of this beer for a charity event held at Double Barley. This is the first commercial batch and we are so excited to announce our first collaboration will be a double beer release over two days. The Double Barley crew will be heading up to Brice's taproom on December 9th, while Brice's will be going over to Double Barley on December 10th. Come out and meet the owners; hang out; and enjoy this decadent beer.
It comes out at 6.8% abv with a huge body for a lower alcohol stout, with tons of chocolate, strong graham cracker taste, and a beautiful finish of marshmallow. This beer will bring you back to your childhood or any other type of hood you prefer to remember.
We are adding a unique twist to this anticipated beer release by offering a variety of different infusions of the Last Campout S'mores Stout. We are using French Press coffee makers to infuse on-demand flavors into this already delicious concotion. Of course, we will be roasting marshmallows and serving them with each glass.
A few flavors are listed below. Respond and let us know which ones interest you the most. If you have a great idea we haven't thought about, recommend it here and we will take it into consideration.
Candied Pecans
Raw Cacao Nibs (Escazu Chocolate)
Toasted Coconut
Coffee (local of course)
Smoked Malt (campfire aspect)
